26.2 MILES...

and Seriously CRAZY! I don't know if I'll ever run that far again, today (two days later) I feel like my body is 104 years old. I'm walking backwards down the stairs, stretching every ten minutes and smiling because I finished!

After running that far in RAIN, I was a little emotional at the finish line. *in 36 years that the marathon has been going on, this is only the second time it has rained. The conditions were horrible.
These are just some of the things that got me through the day! *I owe it all to "the stick!" it truly is a miracle worker!

Liz and I with our five kids. You could say people glare when we go out...
Taylor and Porter. They played so well together and were so sad to say good-bye!

Wait a minute...You ran? Hooray! And even more impressive knowing you didn't train all that much. I hope your knee held out and I can't believe you did it. Good for you. I read that it rained and I was glad for you that you didn't have to be in all that, but I guess I was wrong. Crap, now I have to do one someday...
Good job!

I'm still in awe just thinking about it. I called Derek at work right after I talked to you. I like the chaffing cream. Explain the stick.

Megan-it's me Jill (Stubblefield) Baker in case you didn't recognize the name, anyway I can't believe you ran that. That is such a huge accomplishment. I remember crying when I saw Jamie finish the Rock n Roll marathon. Anyway, I am training for my first half marathon and I am a little nervous. Any pointers? And what is that stick? Just curious

Congratulations! That is quite an accomplishment. I bet you are sore :( I grew up watching my Uncle run the marathon in St. George every year - it is sad what it does to some of the runners. Your are one tough lady! I don't think I could go through some of the aftershocks (ex: chafed legs, chafed nips, toenails falling off, etc....) Hope none of these happened to you! You are amazing :)

W.O.W. I don't thin I could ever run 26.2 miles! That is INSANE! I'm soooo amazed! Especially with having two kids, when did you have time to train? Thats amazing! What does the stick do? Just something to hold onto to get you through it?

I am so impressed. Nice job on the marathon Seriously ya can't pay me to run! I couldn't even run the "fun run" in Jr. High I would always be home so sick during "fun run" day! So when is the big move-in day? I am happy to help out in any way, whether it be to watch the kids or help put all the stuff away, anything just let me know. I am happy to help out any way I can. After Feb & March are gone and spring, summer and fall are here you'll never ever want to move back to SLC! there is so much to do up here even in the winter, I think you'll really come to love it! anyways there's my novel, so let me know if I can help out during the move at all.
Love, Suzette

What happened to your knee, and what is the stick? My sister and I ran a 10K this past weekend and I too was very sore and stretching ALL day long and that was only 6.2 miles...I can't even imagine running 20 more. We were in Gulf shores so it made it even more fun! Congrats!!!!

So we just bought our tickets for Christmas and we're gonna be in Utah for like 2 weeks and then in SD for a week so I'm hoping that you'll be one of those places at the same time that I am so we can catch up. I miss you Megs! I think I'm just gonna call you...

Way to go Meghan! That is seriously impressive. Especially still having such a young baby! I don't know how you guys do it...marathons seems like suicide to me. The only time I run is when it's required. So that would be the mile and a half my 3rd year of college :) You look awesome!!
